Mick Wong, born in Sydney, Australia to a Singaporean Chinese father and a Bulgarian mother, has been capturing the world through his camera since he was 12. What began with bird photography in his backyard evolved into a lifelong passion for filmmaking, sparked by his global travels. Wong’s quiet, patient approach enables him to capture the beauty in everyday moments, often focusing on unsung heroes and the simplicity of life. His films, renowned for their breathtaking cinematography, celebrate life in all its forms.

As a commercial director and cinematographer, Wong has collaborated with global brands like VW, Mitsubishi, Discovery Channel, ASICS, IKEA, Decathlon, Vodafone, and MTV, creating award-winning content that resonates worldwide.

Beyond commercials, Wong wrote, directed, and produced the documentary Yours Sincerely, Mr Yim, about an ailing Singaporean photographer’s final project. He’s currently developing DAR, an independent feature he wrote after living on the island of Gozo for seven years.
